Operational Buyer in the Netherlands

• A salary between €3200 and €4600 gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience

What will you do?

As an Operational Buyer at VDL Jansen, you ensure that the purchasing process continues to run smoothly. You have daily contact with suppliers and colleagues from planning, logistics, and production, among others. You maintain an overview, monitor agreements, and ensure that orders are handled correctly and on time.

You are constantly switching tasks. One moment you are placing an order, the next you are checking an invoice or contacting a supplier to coordinate a delivery. Do you see something that could be done better? Then you take initiative and think along about improvements in the process. In short, you will be busy with:

• Processing and following up on purchase orders
• Checking invoices and the administrative handling of orders
• Maintaining contact with suppliers and internal departments
• Monitoring delivery times and agreements made
• Monitoring and analyzing supplier performance
• Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements
• Coordinating changes and ensuring that involved colleagues remain well-informed

You love it when things are well-organized. You enjoy having a lot of contact with suppliers and colleagues and get energy from an environment where there is always something happening. You maintain an overview, work accurately, and do not let go of an order or an agreement until it is settled.
