Requirements
What we're looking for
- A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics (or similar).
- Work experience in a Quality role at at least one employer.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and structured problem-solving, for example via 8D methodology (or similar approach).
- You are analytical, accurate, and know how to engage people: you combine substantive depth with a constructive way of collaborating.
- Possess excellent social and communication skills in both Dutch and English

Vacancy: Quality Manager - Lichtenvoorde Location - Fortes Energy Systems
The role
Are you a Quality Manager with a driven and constructive outlook on Quality, and do you want to grow to the next step together with Fortes Energy Systems? Do you establish quality firmly in processes, products, and collaboration? Do you communicate easily with both management and the shop floor? Then you might be our new Quality Manager!
In this challenging role, you will work together with a very enthusiastic team of colleagues to make processes run better every day within an organization undergoing a beautiful growth phase! You are an important pivot to guide this growth with a sharp eye on Quality and you ensure that improvements are truly implemented.
What you'll do
- Managing, maintaining, and improving the quality management system and the associated procedures, work instructions, and registrations.
- Maintaining existing ISO certifications (9001 and 14001) and realizing scope expansion where this adds strategic value.
- Preparing, planning, and guiding internal and external audits (incl. follow-up of findings, corrective, and preventive measures).
- Executing and facilitating Root Cause Analyses (e.g., 8D methodology) and ensuring that structural causes are definitively eliminated.
- Monitoring and analyzing quality KPIs, deviations, and trends and translating these into concrete improvement projects. Advising management and teams (engineering/production/service) on quality, risks, and compliance and strengthening the quality and improvement culture.
- Ensuring product and process quality by setting up/improving controls, test plans, and release criteria.
