This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
You have MBO 4 or HBO work and thinking level.
You have an affinity with technology and technical projects.
Experience in work preparation, planning, project support, or a coordinating function is welcome.
You can maintain an overview and like to think several steps ahead.
You are proactive and do not wait for others to tell you what needs to be done.
You communicate easily with various colleagues and parties.
You want to develop yourself and take on more and more responsibility within projects.
You are in possession of a driver's license.
You will enter a role that can grow with you. If you are still relatively junior, you will get space to get to know the organization and projects well. If you already have more experience, you can take on responsibilities at the project coordination level more quickly.
In addition, you receive:
A work week of 36 to 40 hours, depending on the agreements made;
8% holiday allowance;
25 vacation days and 13 ADV days on a full-time basis;
A good pension scheme via PMT;
Net travel allowance for commuting;
If you travel by public transport, SWARCO will provide a suitable public transport subscription;
Lots of freedom, responsibility, and plenty of room to develop yourself;
Laptop and phone when applicable to your position;
Concrete growth opportunities towards Project Coordinator and Project Manager;
An experienced team in which much knowledge is present and colleagues help each other.
You arrange it before anything can go wrong outside.
A project that starts outdoors in sixteen weeks might seem far away. But it is precisely during that period that the difference is made. Have the materials been arranged? Is the schedule correct? Are the agreements with the client clear? Is everyone prepared for what needs to happen outside soon?
For our team in Mill, we are looking for a Work Preparer / Project Coordinator who likes to think ahead, maintains an overview, and wants to take responsibility. Someone who perhaps starts in work preparation, but has the ambition to take increasing control over projects.
In this role, you ensure that projects are well-organized at the front end. You create schedules, arrange materials, maintain contact with suppliers and colleagues, and ensure that the execution knows where they stand.
But it doesn't stop there.
As you get to know the projects, technology, and organization better, you will receive more and more responsibility. You will join construction meetings, maintain control over costs and progress, coordinate with clients, and think ahead about risks and deviations.
This allows you to grow from Work Preparer to Project Coordinator and eventually, if that ambition is there, towards Project Manager.
You prepare projects carefully, from order to execution.
You create and monitor schedules and ensure that people, materials, and resources are available on time.
You liaise with technicians, suppliers, clients, and colleagues within the project team.
You maintain visibility on costs, quality, and progress.
You identify risks and bottlenecks before they become a problem.
You support construction meetings and take increasing responsibility in them.
You gradually gain more insight into the contractual and financial components of projects.
You actively contribute ideas on how projects can be organized smarter, more efficiently, and better.
In short: you ensure that a project doesn't just receive attention when it starts outdoors, but is already rock solid well before that.
There are many different systems, processes, and technical components within our projects. No one knows them all on day one.
That is why we find motivation, technical insight, and the will to learn at least as important as a specific background. You will work together with experienced colleagues who know the organization, technology, and projects through and through. This way, you will learn the practice step by step and receive more and more space to take responsibility independently.
So we are not just looking for the experienced Project Coordinator who has seen it all. Even if you are currently, for example, a Work Preparer, Technical Planner, Service Coordinator, or Technician and are ready for a next step, we would love to get in touch with you.
Your place in the team in Mill
You will work from our location in Mill and become part of an experienced project team. The lines are short and you work closely with the people responsible for execution outdoors.
Precisely because you work together in the office, you can switch quickly, ask questions, and learn from colleagues. There is a lot of technical and practical knowledge present. At the same time, we expect you to take initiative, ask questions, and look ahead.
Because a good Work Preparer does not wait for something to happen. They see it coming.
Functie-eisen
What do you bring to the table?
We look primarily at who you are, what you can already do, and where you want to grow.
A background in electrical engineering or infra is a plus, but not a hard requirement.
SWARCO Regional Projects & Services works daily on technical projects in public spaces. Work that you don't just prepare on paper, but that eventually becomes visible outdoors, literally.
In addition, it is not just about technology. Good projects arise because someone looks ahead, monitors agreements, brings people together, and ensures that everyone knows what needs to happen on time.
Perhaps you are already a Project Coordinator. Perhaps you are a Work Preparer and specifically want to take that next step. Or perhaps you currently work even closer to execution and want to use your technical experience in a more organizational role.
Then we at SWARCO would love to meet you! Please contact Kim Rouwenhorst (Recruitment Consultant) for this. Her phone number is (06) 27 57 21 95 or via kim.rouwenhorst@swarco.com
