Residential Support Worker in the Netherlands

In this role, you provide daily guidance to clients who live independently but require support. You work based on the support plan that the client develops together with the personal counselor. You translate this plan into practice: you identify changes, provide structure, and help where necessary with practical matters such as grocery shopping or housework. You build a bond of trust, allowing clients to feel safe and dare to take steps. You work closely with colleagues and contribute to reports and administrative tasks. You work in irregular shifts. An early shift is from 08:00 to 16:30 and a late shift is from 13:30 to 22:00. No two days are the same, because every client is unique and requires your attention, creativity, and empathy.

The Tiendweg-West location is a rural location in a beautiful spot in Lekkerkerk. The location is a farmhouse with 21 residential apartments and 2 guest places. Additionally, the activation center is also located on our premises. All our residents live independently in their own apartment. The guidance is tailored to individual wishes and needs. The target group consists of adults with psychiatric vulnerabilities. You will work alternately with residential counselors, personal counselors, and external healthcare providers. You know how to guide people with psychological vulnerabilities in a respectful and stable manner. You are self-assured and switch effortlessly between different situations and needs. Additionally:

• Do you have an MBO 4 diploma in healthcare, for example as a Personal Counselor for Specific Target Groups.

• Can you handle unpredictability well and do you know how to provide structure in a dynamic environment.

• Are you flexibly deployable and willing to work irregular shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

The procedure consists of 2 interviews; the 1st interview is with the recruiter and the 2nd interview is on-site with 1 or 2 colleagues and a client.
