As an intern coordinating supervisor, you will come to work in a pleasant and friendly team at a dynamic workplace, where we work with a wide target group. These are people who, for whatever reason, temporarily do not have a roof over their heads and, in addition, require psychosocial assistance. As a coordinating supervisor, you coordinate the care surrounding clients and actively maintain external and internal contacts. As a coordinating supervisor, you draw up a guidance plan for clients within your caseload and are co-responsible for a structured implementation of this plan. You also support, if necessary, the management of financial and material resources and stimulate the self-reliance of clients. You contribute to a good living atmosphere and have insight into the group process. In doing so, you keep an eye on the safety and well-being of clients. Additionally, you prepare client and daily reports. You work in a self-managing team with coordinating supervisors. As a team, you collectively take care of the entire assistance process, from admission to departure. Working in a self-managing team means that you collectively ensure a good distribution of various tasks. You can think of internship coordination, training, recruitment and selection, and other tasks.
Naturally, as an intern, you will perform all your tasks under the supervision and responsibility of the practical supervisor and teammates;
You will never work a shift alone, although you are allowed to perform tasks independently.
You will be doing your internship at the social shelter de Vluchtheuvel in Hilversum. We have space for 16 clients. Among them will also be parents with children. On average, clients stay at the shelter for 3 months. In practice, your work is very varied. Skills such as decisiveness and flexibility are therefore indispensable in this work. Every week, we meet to discuss the progress of the clients' assistance. We find peer supervision very important and ensure that we make time for this every 6 weeks.
