As a Gas Apprentice Technician, you contribute to a safe and future-proof gas network in the province of Utrecht. You will work in residential areas, rural areas, and project sites, where you will learn to resolve faults, realize connections, and perform maintenance.

Within Business Projects, you realize network adjustments and connections for governments, homeowners' associations (VVEs), housing corporations, and property developers. As a technician, you enjoy working in a team, being outdoors, and not shying away from large projects. Within Maintenance, you are responsible for the upkeep of the Stedin Network. You independently resolve faults, inspect, and maintain the network. This is for the technician who loves variety and enjoys problem-solving work. No fault is ever the same.

A day as a Gas Apprentice Technician

• You start your day at the location in Utrecht, pick up your work orders, and depart in your company van to your first job.

• Under the guidance of an experienced technician, you work on gas pipes, meters, or connections.

• You learn to make diagnoses and resolve faults independently.

• You have contact with residents, businesses, and colleagues, and ensure clear communication.

• You end your day by finalizing work orders and providing a short debrief to your practical supervisor.

• A salary between €3005.87 gross per month if you work 40 hours.

• A personal budget of 24% on top of your salary (incl. holiday allowance). Spend it on extra salary or up to 35.5 extra vacation days.

• 24.5 vacation days and pension accrual via ABP (70% of the premium paid by Stedin).

• € 80 net field allowance per month.

Furthermore, you have:

• A completed MBO-2 education (field of study does not matter).

• Driver's license B.

• Good command of the Dutch language.

• The start date for this position is January 4, 2027. On that day, the technician training begins and you start together with your new colleagues.
