The role
Your energy in the plus
Become a Business Controller at Stedin and contribute directly to one of the largest infrastructural challenges in the Netherlands.
Why working at Stedin gives you energy:
- Great impact on the (financial) management of the energy transition realization
- Working both independently and in a team
- Good career opportunities alongside an attractive benefits package.
Work to be proud of
Are you our new Business Controller Maintenance and OT Infra & Telecom (OTI&T) for the Business Complex department/chain? As a Business Controller, you are not only the analyst of the outcome, but also the director of the insight. You take the lead in collecting, interpreting, and connecting financial and operational data. In doing so, you regularly engage in dialogue with project leaders and other stakeholders to sharpen the underlying causes of performance, risks, and deviations. The strength of your analysis lies not only in the numbers, but precisely in the context you add to them. You also proactively propose improvements and play an active role in identifying and mitigating root causes to enable predictable, transparent, and future-oriented management. You are a full member of the Dedicated Teams (DTs) Run Maintenance and OTI&T and, as a professional and independent business partner, you help realize the objectives of the DTs, as well as those of the Business Complex department/chain as a whole, together with the business. If you view subjects from an integrated perspective and know how to convey the story effectively, concisely, and convincingly, then we are looking for you!
Your day as Business Controller Maintenance and OTI&T
No two days are the same as a Business Controller Maintenance and OT Infra & Telecom. One day you might join an MT meeting and advise management on the financial performance, risks, and opportunities within the portfolio. Subsequently, you work on a forecast, scenario analysis, or Business Unit Review to provide the right insights for decision-making.
Later in the day, you analyze operational and financial data and translate this into clear management information and concrete improvement actions. You discuss the progress of the portfolio, help realize objectives, and think along about further improving processes, risk management, and collaboration. In this way, you contribute every day to a financially healthy and future-proof organization.
Here is how you recharge

- On top of your salary, you receive a personal budget of 24% (including 8% holiday allowance).
- You choose what to do with the budget: for example, extra salary or (up to a max of 35.5) vacation days. You can see how it works in our calculation tool.
