Who are we?

We are the JTech practice of Sopra Steria and we offer large organizations and (semi-)government bodies tailor-made, end-to-end technology and software solutions to help customers make choices and achieve results. In this, we have been achieving success after success for years!

Our client groups belong to the government, financial services, or industry sectors and have great social or economic significance for the Netherlands.

An example of an assignment may include the following:

• An outdated Java application with Java version 8 must be renewed to the latest LTS version;
• The entire OTAP runs on one or more RHEL servers in the basement of the customer's main building and must be moved to Azure (AKS);
• They are still hesitant about the use of Openshift and need an expert to help them on their way?;
• The CI/CD is a Jenkins pipeline and it must be converted to Azure pipelines;
• Defining steps to run the application in a Kubernetes cluster (e.g., with Helm, Dockerfile, Podman, Maven dependencies);
• A new framework will be selected, such as Spring or Quarkus, for example;
• Making the existing unit and integration tests meaningful;
• Advising the business on the security and stability of the application landscape;

As a senior developer, we expect you to:

• Have at least 5 years of work experience;
• Be proficient in at least 2 or more frameworks such as Spring or Quarkus;
• Have experience with testing methodologies (unit, integration, acceptance tests) and be able to apply them
• Have substantive knowledge and be able to apply cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure with OpenShift, for example;
• Have experience working in an agile scrum environment;
• Have experience working in accordance with DevOps principles;
• Contribute in the field of software architecture and technical design;
• Prefer to work in a team;
• Bring a positive mindset and solution-oriented attitude;
• Be able to transfer knowledge and experience with pleasure;
• Bachelor in Computer Science or a relevant equivalent education;
• At least Dutch at a B-1/B-2 level

an attractive and flexible package of employment conditions:

• A permanent contract and a salary between €4,200 and €6,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week). The exact scaling depends on your experience and the role;

• Holiday allowance of 8%;

• A generous mobility budget in the form of a lease arrangement of €1,022 - 1,209 with the choice of an electric lease car with NS Business Card or a lease bike, or an alternative transport arrangement of €930 - 1,113, whatever best fits your way of traveling;

• Profit sharing of 8% on target 

• 27 paid vacation days;

• Flex Benefits budget of €1,800 per year.

This budget can be used for things such as purchasing extra days off or extra savings in your pension scheme;
