Practice Lead JTech

• A relevant HBO or WO degree;
• At least 5 years of experience in managing a team of professionals and facilitating the development of your team members;
• Sufficient knowledge of software development to spar with customers and colleagues and to advise and provide direction;
• A team player, focused on (internal and external) collaboration and on professional growth;
• Leadership focused on inspiring, motivating, and engaging your team and your customers;
• A track record in acquiring and delivering teams and solutions for customers and delivering on what you promise (delivery ownership);

• A permanent contract and a salary between €5,500 and €7,500 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week). The exact scaling depends on your experience and the role;

As Practice Lead at JTech, together with the leadership team of the Open Source Development area, you will shape the form and content of the area.

You lead a team of Java engineers by inspiring and facilitating them. In this way, you take responsibility and deliver value to customers and your practice of approximately 15 to 30 people. You take initiative and inspire from a technical standpoint, thereby building a financially healthy practice together with your team. With your team, you think about how you can help our customers accelerate even better. Customer focus, enthusiasm, creativity, and entrepreneurship are therefore crucial qualities.

As Practice Lead, you are responsible for the growth and development of your practice and thus for attracting both talent and experienced engineers. For them, you are an inspiring conversation partner. You advance them in their career and help them to constantly become an improved version of themselves. 

As a Practice lead, you help build a culture of collaboration with colleagues, customers, and partners, both within and outside Sopra Steria. This culture aligns with the ambition to work as a network organization, an ecosystem, in which experts collaborate to arrive at the best solutions. 

You are a key player in the entire customer journey, from the initial conversation and drafting the proposal to the delivery of the solution.

As a Practice Lead, you have full visibility over your practice and a pronounced drive to propose the best solutions to our customers together with your team. You have a vision of the market and use this to generate business and thereby shape teams and projects.

• As a Practice Lead, you lead professionals. You create engagement and inspire your team to continue developing. You know how to retain these professionals and involve them in assignments and teams at customers. As an empathetic leader, you are able to ensure the well-being of your professionals and find a suitable assignment that aligns with the ambitions and development path of the professional.
• As a reliable partner for the customer, you build teams that can meet expectations and create the environment required for this;
• From an entrepreneurial perspective, you see opportunities and have the right skills to lead proposal processes. You take ownership to deliver what has been promised together with the team;
• You are a good conversation partner for customers at various levels, including management (IT manager/lead) and executive level (CIO/CTO);
• You recognize the importance of a relevant network within the Java community and are able to expand this network;
• As part of the Open Source Development leadership team, you contribute to the strategy and execution of building a portfolio of innovative solutions that help our customers accelerate
• You are a good conversation partner for the professionals in your practice. Together, you follow the latest trends & developments and thereby determine the course of the practice;
• You know how to find your way within an organization and seek out intersections with other practices/areas to arrive at solutions for our customers together.
