The role

Be the best version of yourself as a Test Automation Lead

Do you want to grow into the very best version of yourself as a Test Automation Lead? At Sogeti, you will join the largest Test Automation community in the Netherlands. You will work together with driven colleagues who challenge, inspire, and strengthen one another. Together, we build innovation. Think of inspiration sessions and our Test Automation Fridays, but even beyond that, knowledge sharing is a natural part of how we work.

As a Test Automation Lead, you are the technical trailblazer. You develop a future-proof automation strategy, elevate teams technically to a higher level, and ensure that quality becomes a structural part of choices and decision-making. At the same time, you know that technology never stands still, and therefore neither do you. That is why we continuously invest in your development. With our in-house training, you will stay ahead of the curve in the latest developments, such as AI and other innovations within automation. And do you want to share your expertise yourself? Then you will have plenty of room to give workshops, provide knowledge sessions, and promote your vision within the community. That is how we grow together.

Why you make the difference

At our clients, you make an impact as a Test Automation Lead by sharing and implementing your vision on test automation. You look beyond a single team or a single process; you can look across teams and processes at test automation and develop a vision and strategy at that level. Subsequently, you can bring all stakeholders along in this and coach them. You think along and advise on process improvements and, like no one else, you know how test automation can be made future-proof.

You can take leadership and coach other colleagues in the field of test automation. You are also not afraid to take ownership and show initiative. Furthermore, it is important that you have an interest in innovations, such as the use of Gen AI as a supplement within test automation, for example. You can brainstorm with colleagues about the opportunities of AI, but also remain critical about the practical possibilities.

This is how you become the best version of yourself

  • You become part of one of the largest Quality Engineering & Testing divisions in the Netherlands (500+ professionals), where expertise, innovation, and building quality into every phase are central;
  • You become part of the largest Test Automation community in the Netherlands, where you are supported by 120 like-minded colleagues who love helping each other grow;
  • Within our vision of Amplified Quality Engineering, we use AI as an amplifier. We invest in tooling, adoption, and development, including our own GenAI solution;
  • In-house training from AI to communication and leadership skills, so that you can develop in a way that suits you. And there are plenty of opportunities to share your expertise with colleagues through knowledge sharing or workshops;
  • Endless development opportunities, whether you grow as a technical expert, lead, or People Manager who helps colleagues and teams grow;
  • Participating in inspiring events where you can gain knowledge, share knowledge yourself, build a network, and actively contribute to a field that is constantly in motion.

In addition, you can count on

  • A permanent contract of 32, 36, or 40 hours with a compensation budget up to €7,101.67 gross per month incl. holiday allowance and mobility allowance;
  • With us, you can choose the mode of travel that suits you best, such as a lease car (electric), mileage allowance, and you receive an NS-Business Card, or a combination thereof;
  • We encourage an active lifestyle, so on top of that, we offer a bicycle lease plan via Lease A Bike;
  • 26 vacation days with the option to purchase more, an expense allowance, and an annual bonus from C-Grade;
  • With our Benefits at Work, you get discounts at webshops such as bol.com, HEMA, and Wehkamp, as well as advantages on activities, electronics, and more;
  • A strong in-house L&D program, an unlimited training budget, and active
    professional communities where knowledge sharing and growth are central;
  • Space to contribute to a more sustainable future via a sustainability budget and flexible arrangements;
  • Attention to (mental) health, with initiatives such as OpenUp, parenthood training, vitality webinars, and a discount on your gym membership;
  • Access to inspiring events such as Women@Sogeti and SoPlay, where tech and connection come together.

Your talents and experience

  • You have (at least) HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level;
  • You have extensive experience with several different test automation tools, which can be low-code test automation (such as Robot Framework) or high-code test automation (such as Cucumber in combination with JavaScript or Java), and you can advise the client well on the choice of a tool and its use;
  • You have experience in setting up and executing a test automation strategy and can guide others in this;
  • You have experience with 2 or more programming languages (preferably JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#);
  • You have a vision on test automation, can communicate this vision, and you have strong leadership qualities;
  • You have strong communication skills with strong coaching skills and are good at stakeholder management;
  • You have certification for TMAP, ISTQB, Rapid Software Testing (or are willing to obtain this).
