Lead Mechanical Engineer

You are the lead mechanical engineer who takes our projects to a higher level. As an experienced and driven Lead Mechanical Engineer within building-related installation technology, you take the lead in designing and developing mechanical installations. Your focus is on safety, reliability, and sustainability. As a technical expert within the project, you bear responsibility for the complete design of the mechanical aspects. Together with engineers, modelers, and chain partners, you ensure that the entire design process, from SO to UO, runs smoothly.

Your tasks include:

• Reviewing supplied designs, depending on the project

• Ensuring that the design meets the specifications, whereby you collaborate closely with engineers and modelers to work out details

• Preparing, checking, and releasing calculations and drawings

• Directing modelers and engineers, and maintaining frequent contact with suppliers.

In this position, it is of great importance that you can collaborate well and that you possess strong planning and organizational skills. You work within a dynamic and changing environment where customer orientation and flexibility are important qualities. As Lead Engineer, you play a central role in directing technical teams and ensuring the quality of their work, while keeping an eye on both the wishes of the customer and the technical requirements of the project.

• You possess HBO (higher professional education) level of work and thought and preferably have completed an education in the direction of Mechanical Engineering.

• Like no other, you know how to guide and motivate technical teams. Performing quality controls is not a challenge for you, but an opportunity to further optimize processes.

• You are technically responsible, you take the lead over your team;

• You know how to develop a project technically to a design worthy of DO, TO, or UO. You know how to report the current status in the interim.  

• A permanent contract with a view to a long-term collaboration;

• The salary for this position is between €5200 and €7200 gross per period* (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary is dependent on your knowledge, level, and work experience. 

• 38 leave days in accordance with the CAO Metaal en Techniek;

• Excellent secondary employment conditions, such as standard insurance for all employee risks, pension schemes, an extra supplement for disability, and a contribution towards trade union membership;
