Functional Application Specialist Finance Apps

Get your IT career moving! As a Functional Application Specialist at Scholt Energy, you will play an important role in managing and further developing our financial applications, with a strong focus on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance.

In this versatile role, you are the connecting link between business and IT. You ensure that our financial applications function optimally and align with the needs of the organization. Emphasis lies on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Exact, as we will be working on phasing out Exact and further developing our financial application landscape in the coming period.

You are part of a Scrum team and work closely with colleagues from Finance, Operations, Product Owners, and Software Engineers. You are the first point of contact for functional questions, incidents, and change requests. Thanks to your knowledge of financial processes and applications, you know how to quickly analyze problems and translate them into suitable solutions.

In addition to daily application management, you play an active role in improving our systems and processes. You analyze the impact of changes, manage functional configurations, support releases, and guide users during the testing and implementation of new functionalities. You also work together with internal IT specialists and external vendors to ensure the continuity and quality of our applications.

With your analytical eye and structured approach, you contribute directly to the further professionalization of our financial systems. You will be given the space to take initiative, propose improvements, and help build a future-proof application landscape within an international organization.

• A completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in Business Administration, Business Information Management, Finance & Control, or a similar field.
• Experience with functional application management, preferably within a financial environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance (F&O).
• Experience with Exact or similar financial applications is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of financial business processes, such as invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting.
• Experience with analyzing and resolving incidents, configuration changes, and functional issues.
• Experience with performing functional tests and supporting users during acceptance testing.
• Knowledge of ITIL, BiSL, or Agile/Scrum is a plus.
• Excellent command of the Dutch language and good command of English.
• An analytical, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
