Optimization, Trading & Analytics Manager

As Optimization, Trading & Analytics Manager, you are responsible for managing our teams within Optimization & Analytics and Short-Term Trading. Together, you will develop innovative solutions to optimally manage energy assets, continuously improve trading strategies, and create value for customers across multiple European markets.

In this role, you are responsible for developing and realizing the strategic roadmap for both teams. You ensure that departmental objectives, KPIs, and OKRs are translated into concrete results and monitor their progress. Additionally, you stimulate the development of innovative optimization and trading solutions, translating market opportunities into new propositions and improvements within our services.

You work closely with management, traders, analysts, developers, and other stakeholders within the organization. In doing so, you provide high-quality reporting to management and the board, monitor the quality of operational performance, and create the right conditions for the further growth of the teams. As a coaching leader, you know how to inspire and develop specialists and team leads, bringing them to a higher level together.

You form the bridge between strategy, data, technology, and commercial objectives. Using your expertise, you ensure that complex energy markets are translated into scalable solutions that truly contribute to the growth of Scholt Energy and the success of our customers.

• A completed university master's degree, for example in Econometrics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Economics, or a similar field.

• At least 10 years of relevant work experience within energy trading, energy optimization, asset management, or a similar environment.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and achieving strategic objectives.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a business and commercial mindset.
• You are a conceptual thinker who knows how to quickly grasp complex issues and translate them into concrete solutions.
• You are decisive, result-oriented, and take responsibility for both operational and strategic results.
• You possess excellent communication skills and know how to engage stakeholders at different levels in your vision and plans.
• You are an inspiring leader who motivates and develops teams and stimulates a culture of continuous improvement.
• Interest in and affinity with the dynamics of international energy markets.
