A starting salary of € 2,937 gross per month based on 38 hours (from age 21) and you can grow during your career to a salary of max. € 3,279 gross per month based on scale E from the MVT collective labor agreement.

You will join a technical workshop where, together with experienced colleagues, you maintain, repair, and make OV-fietsen ready for use again. You work without customer contact and can focus entirely on your craft. In this way, you ensure that our OV-fietsen remain in top condition and help our travelers on their way again with well-maintained OV-fietsen.

What do you do as a bicycle mechanic? You repair bicycles - naturally - but your job is very varied. On one bicycle, you tighten a pedal and you're done in five minutes. You take another bicycle apart to, for example, replace the bottom bracket. You work on all kinds of bicycles: from old commuter bikes and large step-through bikes to our own OV-fiets.

At the HUB location in Zaandam, you work in a technical workshop where only OV-fietsen are maintained and repaired. Unlike in a bicycle storage facility, there is no customer contact or service to travelers here.

Your duties consist mainly of repairing, inspecting, and making OV-fietsen ready for use. Additionally, you perform light administrative tasks, such as registering completed repairs and maintaining work orders.

You are available from Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 17:00 and on Friday from 08:30 to 15:00. You work 38 hours per week and have a 30-minute break daily. You are a certified bicycle mechanic or have at least 1 year of relevant work experience. Due to the nature of the work, it is important that you are at least 18 years old.
