e-Bike Mechanic / Fietsmonteur

Upway is a fast-growing company building the world's largest marketplace for refurbished E-bikes. To this end, after its warehouse in Paris, Berlin, Mechelen, Düsseldorf, California, and New York, it is launching a location in Amsterdam.

We are looking for passionate bicycle technicians who enjoy refurbishing a used two-wheeler into a gem that gets a second life. The technician team will refurbish up to 200 different brands of used E-bikes to excellent condition to offer Upway customers high-quality bicycles from our enormous selection.

You and your colleagues will work from a well-equipped location, without customers, phones, and only countless E-bikes and high expectations. The enormous diversity of +2000 models of City bikes, Cargo bikes, MTBs, and more will ensure a good dose of variety to learn something new every day.

• You will be part of the workshop crew, setting up the warehouse together with your colleagues.
• You will independently repair e-bikes including everything that comes with it (inspection, troubleshooting, selecting parts, repair, quality control)
• Together with your team, you will prepare e-bikes for delivery to our customers and keep the existing fleet in good condition
• You will work on continuously improving our service and our e-bikes
• You will become an essential part of our team and contribute your ideas to optimize the warehouse and the operations

• You have thorough knowledge of electric bicycles. (Completed internship for junior bicycle mechanic, 1-2 years for regular bicycle mechanic, 2 years+ for senior bicycle mechanic)
• You have a passion for perfection and enjoy working thoroughly and independently
• You enjoy variety
• You like trying out new repair processes and continuously improving them
• You have a good knowledge of Dutch, French, or English
