Part-time Job for Nursing Students

For the Flexpool of the Thoraxcentrum clinic, we are looking for enthusiastic nursing students who want to support qualified nurses alongside their studies. With a zero-hours contract, you will work flexibly within your field of expertise and earn money in an inspiring environment!

You are an important point of contact when it comes to our patients' care experience; you place personal care and attention to the patient at the center. Together with the nurse, you ensure that the patient's (and visitors') hospital stay is as pleasant as possible. You provide the patient and the family with clear information. You assist with activities of daily living (ADL) and perform your nursing technical procedures according to protocol. If a change occurs in the patient's situation, you immediately involve the right colleagues.
In this, you work closely with the nurse; they remain ultimately responsible. This means that you can and are allowed to learn at all times. You can then take this experience with you into your studies and further career as a (future) nurse.

Additionally, you perform light cleaning tasks in the patient room/the ward and ensure that nursing supplies are replenished.

Finally, we expect you to actively think along regarding possibilities for improving the care process. Together with your commitment, we make the stay as pleasant as possible for the patient.

Within the Thoraxcentrum clinic, patients are nursed with various cardiological conditions. The department has 40 cardiological beds and 16 cardio-surgical beds, of which 32 patients can be monitored telemetrically.

You will be working in a large team. In addition to collaborating with your colleague helper/caregiver IG, you will work closely with nurses, room service staff, secretaries, physiotherapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and specialists.

We are looking for third-year HBO nursing students who are available for at least one shift per week. HBO-V students (2nd year) who hold an MBO-V diploma may also apply.
You will be deployed as a VIG, supporting the nurses on the ward. This part-time job is not intended for students following a BBL (work-study) program.
