Energy & Data Internship KPN - Data Quality

KPN connects people and organizations with reliable digital services. Behind this service delivery stands an extensive technical infrastructure with data centers, technical buildings, and other network locations.

Technical Housing manages the physical locations and objects required to make KPN's network function. Energy & Insights works on reliable energy data and making the network more sustainable.

You will work at the intersection of both departments and together with specialists in the fields of asset management, contract management, energy, data, and IT. The assignment combines analysis and process improvement with visible results in Archibus, the system in which KPN records information about locations and objects.

KPN wants to record information about energy connections of technical locations completely and up-to-date in Archibus. The technical capability to register the type of connection is present, but roles, process steps, and management agreements still need to be clearly developed and secured.

During this internship, you will develop and test a practical way of working for registering and changing energy connections. You will not only provide advice, but also apply the process to a selected group of locations.

These are some of the activities you will undertake:

• You will map out the current process for registering and changing energy connections.
• You will determine which roles are responsible for the provision, control, entry, and management of data.
• You will create a practical process proposal with clear working agreements and handover moments.
• You will test the process at new locations, new connections, and changes to existing locations.
• You will investigate how data from photos, documentation, and desk research can be recorded unambiguously in Archibus.
• You will carry out a practical trial and deliver process documentation, work instructions, and recommendations for structural securing.

• An internship allowance of EUR 600,- (based on 40 hours).
