Financial Administration Internship at KPN

KPN works together with approximately 5,000 active suppliers. They provide goods and services to KPN and to our customers. We process over 90% of all invoices automatically. The remaining part requires extra attention and we process it manually. That is approximately 60,000 to 65,000 invoices every year. You will be working with those invoices.

You will join the Accounts Payable Service Desk at KPN. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that supplier invoices are correctly checked, neatly registered, and paid on time.

You will participate in daily practice, receive guidance from experienced colleagues, and see up close how administration, procurement, suppliers, and smart automation work together. Thus, our department is a strong place to learn how a large organization deals with thousands of suppliers.

As an intern, you will work every day on processing invoices from suppliers. You will do this together with an experienced team. You will check if all data is correct and if the invoice matches the agreements with the supplier. After that, you will enter the invoice neatly into the system. Does a supplier or colleague have a question about an invoice? Then you will assist them. This way, you will learn to work precisely and provide clear explanations.

Alongside your daily work, you will get time for your own internship assignment. For example, you might investigate how AI can help to process invoices faster. Or how we can get all invoices digitally. Do you have an idea of your own to improve the work? Please share it, your initiatives are welcome.
