• From 16 hours per week

Our client is involved in the management and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). In order to properly manage and maintain this installation, it is important that the available technical information and data are current, complete, and reliable. For this purpose, various checks must be performed, both on-site and behind the computer. With your commitment, you will help the client improve the quality of the available information and ensure that the data corresponds to the actual situation at the installation.

Within this project, you will be working on performing office and field checks. During the field checks, you will visit the installation and check the existing situation on-site. You will collect data, perform checks, and carefully record any deviations or specifics. During the office checks, you will then proceed to check and process the collected information. In doing so, you will work with Microsoft Excel, among other tools, to process and check data in an organized manner.

You will work together with other students on this project. Because the field checks must be carried out collectively, it is important that you are available on the same days. The aim is to complete the project before December 31. To allow sufficient room for any potential overrun, we are looking for students who are available at least until the end of January.

You will be working at an organization within the Dutch water sector. Water boards play an important role in keeping our water clean and healthy. An important part of this is the purification of wastewater before it is discharged back into surface water. This takes place in wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs), where large quantities of wastewater are treated daily.

For this project, you will be working at a wastewater treatment plant of Waterschap Amstel, Gooi en Vecht. Within this technical environment, the reliable functioning of the installations and the proper management of the existing assets are central. Good registration and checking of technical data is indispensable here.

You will work together with other students and have contact with the relevant employees of the client. During the field checks, you will be working on-site together. The office checks consist mainly of checking and processing the collected data. This gives you a look behind the scenes at the management of a technical installation that plays an important role in our daily living environment.
