Energy & Data Internship KPN - Contract Management

KPN connects people and organizations with reliable digital services. Behind this service delivery stands an extensive technical infrastructure with data centers, technical buildings, and other network locations.

Technical Housing manages the physical locations and objects required to make KPN's network function. Energy & Insights works on reliable energy data and making the network more sustainable.

You will work at the intersection of both departments and together with specialists in the fields of asset management, contract management, energy, data, and IT. The assignment combines analysis and process improvement with visible results in Archibus, the system in which KPN records information about locations and objects.

For technical locations without their own energy connection, the settlement can be arranged in various ways, for example via a fixed amount, service charges, retrospective calculation, or an intermediate meter. These agreements are not always centrally and unambiguously available.

During this internship, you will map out the agreements and design a clear way to record contract and settlement data in Archibus. You will not only work on an advisory report, but you will also actually record data for a selected group of locations.

These are some of the activities you will undertake:

• You will inventory where contract agreements and information about energy settlement are available.
• You will map out which forms of settlement occur and which data are required per location.
• You will coordinate with contract management and subject matter experts regarding definitions, ownership, and recording.
• You will design a uniform registration structure in Archibus.
• You will investigate whether AI or other IT solutions can assist in reading and processing documents.
• You will record data for a selected group of locations and describe a structural way of working for management and updating.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following points:

• You are pursuing an mbo or hbo education, such as Business Administration, Contract Management, Facility Management, Business IT & Management, Business Information Technology, or a similar program.
• You have an affinity for process improvement, data registration, and IT, and you are curious about the possibilities of AI and automation.
• You work analytically, in a structured and accurate manner, and handle contractual and financial information with care.
• You take initiative and easily retrieve the right information from various specialists.
• You have mastered the Dutch language in speech and writing.
• You are available for at least 32 hours per week and 5 months starting from February 2027.
