Energy and Sustainability Specialist - Grid Congestion

Construction wants to move forward. Electric working is increasingly becoming the norm, but grid congestion regularly throws a wrench in the works. That is exactly where you make the difference. At Dura Vermeer Materieel, we are looking for an energy & sustainability specialist who understands how to bring together energy supplies, construction site layouts, and smart charging strategies. Practical, thoughtful, and with an eye for what is truly needed on the construction site.

You are the go-to person for energy on the construction site. From planning to practice. You take grid congestion, limited connections, and peak loads into account and know how to counter them with smart solutions.

Specifically:

• You develop and manage energy supplies and construction site layouts, tailored to electric working.

• You advise projects on grid congestion, temporary connections, smart charging strategies, and energy management.

• You work with and without grid connections: from battery solutions to hybrid and off-grid systems.

• You guide pilots and test environments for new energy concepts on the construction site.

• You analyze energy consumption and translate data into practical improvements.

• You coordinate with grid operators, suppliers, partners, and project teams.

• You work from Haaften, and can occasionally be found at our construction sites.

One day you are sitting at the table with project teams, suppliers, or grid operators, the next day you are at the workshop to see if it actually works in practice. You think ahead, but always keep an eye on what is needed today. You love pioneering, testing, and improving. Not everything has to be perfect at once, as long as it becomes smarter, more sustainable, and better. You bring colleagues along in this process and know how to reduce complex energy issues to clear, applicable solutions.

• Knowledge of energy issues, grid congestion and/or electric construction sites.

• At least 3 years of experience in energy, technology, or construction.

• You switch easily between plan and practice.

• You are curious, down-to-earth, and enjoy collaborating.
