The role

In short

  • 24 hours/week for at least 1 year
  • €17,- per hour
  • As a Warehouse Keeper, you will be responsible for full inventory management, the logistics of incoming and outgoing goods, and the administrative processing thereof at an industrial location
  • You are a hands-on, administratively strong student who can run a warehouse independently, works accurately in systems, and is willing to get stuck in practically as well
  • Location: Vlissingen (fully on-site)

What will you do?

Are you someone who likes to maintain control over processes, works hands-on, and has no problem rolling up your sleeves? Then this is a great opportunity to gain practical experience within a technical environment in the energy sector.

At an industrial power plant, the current warehouse keeper is retiring. This creates a need for temporary replacement to ensure the continuity of inventory management and logistics. A well-functioning warehouse is essential at this location: without the right parts and materials at the right time, the maintenance of the plant comes to a standstill.

Within this project, you will work on the full management of the warehouse. For the majority of your time, about 12 to 16 hours per week, you will be busy receiving, registering, and issuing goods. Additionally, you will manage company vehicles, loan equipment, and coordinate waste streams. During the remaining hours, you will work together with the maintenance engineer on optimizing warehouse data and associated improvement projects. Do you not yet have a forklift certificate? This will be covered by the client.

So, are you someone who loves to get stuck in, works accurately, and is available for at least one year for 20 hours per week? Then apply via the button at the top of this vacancy!

Where will you work?

You will be working at one of the most modern and efficient gas power plants in the Netherlands, located in the port and industrial area in Vlissingen. What makes the plant extra special: thanks to its very short startup time, it plays a crucial role in the stability of the electricity grid, particularly as a supplement to the unpredictable generation of wind and solar energy. Furthermore, the plant is ISO certified in the areas of quality, safety, environment, information security, and asset management—an environment where high standards are the norm.

You will be working within the Mechanical Maintenance department, a compact and dedicated team that works daily on the maintenance and operational reliability of the installations.

At IVY Global, a dynamic project agency for young technical talent, your development is central. You will work for various clients, with IVY providing you with the necessary support. A great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop yourself during your studies. At IVY, it's not just about work; besides earning money, it is also important to learn, to develop, and to have a good time. Finished with your studies? Even then, we can help advance your career together, so you can transition from your side job into a starter position. You will therefore get the chance both during and after your studies to work at various companies in the sector, so that you not only grow personally but also contribute to the future of the technical sector in the Netherlands. If you don't have time for a side job right now or mainly want to know more about starter opportunities, please leave your details anyway. Having a cup of coffee to see how you and Ivy can grow together is always an option, of course!
