HSE Specialist Warehouse

• You have a higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking and a relevant education and work experience within HSE, safety science, working conditions, or occupational hygiene.

• You have some relevant work experience. 2 to 5 years is ideal, but not a hard requirement.

• You know the basics of occupational health and safety legislation, RI&E’s, machine safety, and incident management.

• You switch easily between the work floor, supervisors, and management and communicate clearly and effectively at every level.

• You work independently, see opportunities, and make improvements concrete.

• You work in a structured, planned, project-based, and accurate manner.

• You remain calm in an environment where a lot happens at once and can set the right priorities.

• You speak and write good Dutch and English.

As an HSE Specialist, you ensure that colleagues and externals can work safely, healthily, and with pleasure every day in the Coolblue warehouse. You are visible on the work floor, translate laws and regulations into practical solutions, and make safety everyone's business. In this way, you contribute directly to a pleasant and safe working environment for hundreds of Coolblue employees.

You make HSE policy workable and keep projects, training, and reports strictly on track. Will you become our new link between operations, stakeholders, and the rest of the HSE team?

By combining HSE content with structure, administration, and project management, your role remains varied. In the office, you deal with policy, analyses, and reports, but on the floor, you maintain contact with operations so that plans align with practice. You bring risks and opportunities for improvement into clear view, make agreements concrete, and maintain oversight until actions are completed.

You see what is happening on the work floor, ask sharp questions, offer solutions, and ensure that improvements truly land.

• You advise the team and supervisors on safe and healthy working in a dynamic warehouse environment.

• You carry out risk assessments, workplace inspections, and safety rounds and translate your findings into concrete, workable improvement actions.

• You investigate incidents, near-misses, and dangerous situations, share the lessons learned, and help colleagues prevent repetition.

• You provide and coordinate information and training, so that safety becomes understandable, practical, and second nature.

• You initiate HSE projects, develop procedures, and draft policy, for example regarding physical strain, hazardous substances, driving equipment, emergency response (BHV), and machine safety.

• You maintain oversight of laws and regulations and ensure that we comply with them in a smart and practical way.

• You forge a path between mechanization and new automation projects and provide advice on machine safety and work equipment.

• You support external inspections, audits, and permit processes with a strategic, pragmatic approach.

• You draft reports and plans of approach, maintain oversight, and ensure that expectations are met and goals are achieved.

As an HSE Specialist, you are responsible for occupational safety and health within the operations of our warehouse in Tilburg. You find it important that we have a safe and healthy working environment in our Coolblue warehouse. Together with other HSE employees, you ensure this and do everything you can to keep it that way.
