The role

In short

  • 16 to 40 hours per week (flexible scheduling, ideal alongside your studies or as a starter)
  • €17,- starting salary with an attractive career progression path
  • Back-end (FastAPI) & Front-end development, UX/UI, software architecture, and integration with AI models
  • An experienced student or recent graduate software engineer with existing practical experience (projects, internships, or extracurricular activities) who writes clean code and helps the team grow
  • Eindhoven (TU/e campus)

What will you do?

Do you want to help build the applications of the future and apply and transfer your existing software engineering skills within an ambitious team?

Ivy Global is growing fast and our digital toolkit is growing with it. We develop powerful in-house applications that automate complex business processes, allowing our consultants to make an immediate impact in the industry and energy transition. To keep these applications scalable, robust, and intuitive, we are looking for a developer who is already familiar with the ropes from previous projects or internships.

In this role, you will build and oversee both the back-end (in FastAPI) and the front-end of our in-house tools. You will write clean, well-structured code and design user-friendly interfaces (UX/UI). You don't need to be a seasoned AI expert yet, but you will have the unique opportunity to connect our software to advanced AI models.

Because you have already gained flight hours in software development, you will be a technical sparring partner within our team. You will help colleagues set up clean software architecture, review code, and introduce best practices that the entire team can learn from.

Where will you work?

You will work within our in-house innovation team in Eindhoven, directly on the TU/e campus. We work according to the Semco style: that means no hierarchical managers, but plenty of personal responsibility, autonomy, and trust regarding the software you build.

You will join a young, driven, and ambitious environment. At Ivy Global, it is all about making an impact together and continuous self-development. Because you bring practical experience in building applications, you are the go-to person that teammates love to spar with regarding technical choices and design patterns.

Requirements

  • Relevant studies & practical experience: You are pursuing a technical HBO or WO degree (such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or ICT) or have recently graduated, and have already gained demonstrable experience in software development through challenging projects, extracurricular activities, or a previous internship/side job.
  • Strong back-end skills: You have extensive experience with Python and specifically with FastAPI (or similar modern Python frameworks), and you understand how to build robust APIs.
  • Full-stack & UX/UI affinity: You do not shy away from front-end challenges and have an eye for designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Clean Code & Best Practices: You value clean code, good documentation, testing, and logical software architecture, and you enjoy taking the lead in these areas.
  • Curious about AI & Cloud: You have the ambition to deepen your knowledge in the integration of AI models and cloud deployments (such as Google Cloud Run).
  • Communicative & Knowledge Sharer: You are proactive, assertive, and enjoy sharing your knowledge and insights with teammates to grow together.

What do you get from us?

  • Attractive salary: € 17,- per hour as a starting salary, with a clear and rapid career progression path based on your development and impact.
  • High autonomy & mandate: Full freedom to shape the architecture and UI/UX standards of our applications according to your insight.
  • Technical growth & AI integration: The opportunity to gain practical experience integrating advanced AI models into production environments.
  • Education & Training: Various trainings in soft skills, project management, and the possibility for technical specialization.
  • Flexibility & Atmosphere: Plenty of flexibility around exam weeks, hybrid working options, and fun team outings.
