The role

In short

  • 16 to 24 hours per week, depending on your availability
  • €17 per hour with growth opportunities
  • You map out crucial maintenance knowledge by observing structurally, making implicit expertise explicit, and testing instructions directly in practice.
  • We are looking for an analytical HBO or WO student who knows how to translate technical depth into practical maintenance guides and instructions.
  • Roermond, on-site at the client

What will you be doing?

For an international manufacturing company in the manufacturing industry, you will play a central role in a project focused on knowledge assurance. Much of the knowledge regarding the installations currently resides mainly in the heads and routines of a few experienced specialists. To ensure production continuity, you will convert this knowledge into a structured knowledge system.

As a Technical Knowledge Engineer, you will work actively on the shop floor. You will observe maintenance processes, analyze the technology, and ask targeted questions to the skilled workers. You will translate this information into clear work instructions (SOPs), manuals, and checklists. In this way, you ensure that valuable knowledge is preserved and that technicians at different locations can work consistently, which directly contributes to less machine downtime.

Where will you work?

At IVY Global, a dynamic project agency for young technical talent, your development is central. You will work at various clients, with IVY providing you with the necessary support. A great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and develop yourself during your studies. At IVY, it is not just about earning money alongside your studies, but also about job satisfaction and your own development!

At this client, you will be placed within a high-quality production environment in the manufacturing industry. You will strengthen the maintenance department and work closely with the technical expert and the team of technicians. In doing so, you bridge the gap between electrotechnical and physical practice on the shop floor and clear documentation.

Requirements

  • You are pursuing an HBO or WO degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical study.
  • You possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • You are proactive and assertive enough to approach stakeholders and international experts.
  • You have an affinity for maintenance, technology, and creating visual instructional material.
  • You work accurately and know how to maintain a project-based approach independently.

What do you get from us?

  • €17 starting salary with a growth trajectory
  • Various trainings in soft skills, asset management, and project management
  • Fun outings, activities, and study opportunities during your exam weeks
  • Lots of freedom and flexibility
