Are you an enthusiastic veterinary nurse who loves to keep learning, takes responsibility, and gets energy from a close-knit team? Do you enjoy working all-round, but is your interest mainly in the OR? Then we would love to meet you!
For AniCura Animal Clinic Eersel, we are looking for a qualified veterinary nurse for 20 hours per week.
AniCura Animal Clinic Eersel is an ambitious and progressive clinic with an enthusiastic team of 6 veterinarians and 7 veterinary nurses. We offer both primary and secondary care and possess modern and advanced equipment, including a CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, dental X-ray, and extensive laboratory equipment.
There is a lot of variety in the duties. Among other things, we see many CT scans, fractures, and hernias and perform various surgeries, including orthopedic procedures. Additionally, we perform endoscopies, official X-ray examinations, echocardiograms, and deafness tests. Every other week, a dentist is present for special dental patients.
That makes Eersel a challenging workplace: you will deal with different patients, treatments, and techniques, and no two days are the same. There is plenty of room to learn new things and further develop yourself.
As a veterinary nurse, you are an important link within our team. You will work all-round in the clinic, and we are looking for someone who preferably already has some experience with the OR or has a great interest in it.
Your duties include:
Admitting patients and preparing them for surgery.
Preparing the operating room and necessary materials.
Assisting during surgeries and examinations.
Monitoring anesthesia.
Guiding and caring for patients after surgery.
Caring for and guiding admitted animals.
Performing laboratory work.
Receiving, advising, and guiding owners and their animals.
Performing reception and telephone duties.
Preparing practice rooms and keeping them business-ready.
Taking on tasks independently and taking responsibility within your role.
The possibility, in consultation, to run a veterinary nurse consultation hour.
We find it important that you are broadly deployable, but experience with or interest in the OR is a clear plus.
What makes working at Eersel so much fun? We truly do it together. You work in a close-knit team in which you know each other well, help each other, and are collectively responsible for daily care.
Additionally, we find hospitality very important. For us, good care is not just about the patient, but also about the way we receive and guide owners. We find it important that both animals and their owners feel welcome and well-assisted by us.
Moreover, Eersel does not stand alone. As part of AniCura, you work together with colleagues from a large network of animal clinics. We also actively seek collaboration regionally, for example with AniCura Southeast, where we share knowledge and experience.
This way, you can not only learn from your direct colleagues but also benefit from the knowledge, expertise, and development opportunities within the broader AniCura network.
We are looking for a veterinary nurse who finds pleasure in working with both animals and people and wants to be part of a dedicated team.
Additionally:
Are you a qualified veterinary nurse or will you complete your training soon?
Do you preferably already have some work experience as a veterinary nurse?
Are you broadly deployable and do you have an interest in or experience with the OR?
Are you enthusiastic, eager to learn, and motivated to continue developing yourself?
Are you customer- and animal-friendly and do you find hospitality important?
Do you communicate clearly and pleasantly?
Can you handle different situations well and do you keep a cool head when it is busy?
Do you like to work together, but can also take responsibility independently?
Are you collegial and flexibly deployable?
Do you find it no problem to work regularly on Saturdays (approximately 1 time per month) and participate in the duty roster (1 to 2 on-call shifts per month)?
Experience is a plus, but enthusiasm and the drive to learn are at least as important to us.
With us, you get the space to practice your profession in a modern and well-equipped clinic where a lot happens. You work together with colleagues who take their profession seriously, but also value a pleasant atmosphere, good cooperation, and personal contact.
You can count on:
A close-knit, friendly, and expert team of 6 veterinarians and 7 veterinary nurses.
A modern clinic with advanced equipment.
A versatile role within both primary and secondary care.
Many different surgeries, treatments, and patient categories.
Plenty of room for personal initiative and responsibility.
Opportunities to further develop yourself and potentially set up your own consultation.
The possibility to deepen your knowledge in the OR, anesthesia, and other areas of interest.
Access to knowledge and expertise within the broad AniCura network.
Good employment conditions in accordance with our employment benefits package.
Are you an enthusiastic veterinary nurse who loves to work all-round, gets energy from the OR, and wants to be part of a close-knit team? Then we would love to get in touch with you!
