DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer, you will work in the CoreOps team within HTM IT. You are responsible for taking over the management of Hastus and subsequently for the management and continuity of this application. Hastus is an important system within public transport planning and therefore plays a direct role in the daily operations of HTM.

Within HTM, we call this position a DevOps Engineer. In this role, the emphasis lies on application management, chain collaboration, and the connection between Planning and IT.

You form an important link between Planning, the business, and IT. You ensure that Hastus is properly handed over to IT, that management is professionally organized, and that the application continues to function stably and reliably thereafter. You contribute to the design and documentation of management processes, monitoring, documentation, incident handling, vendor agreements, and knowledge transfer.

You understand what the business needs and know how to translate this into the management of the application. You maintain an overview of the operation of Hastus, the various interfaces and dependencies, and ensure that disruptions and bottlenecks are addressed. You signal where things can be improved and contribute to the improvement of management, documentation, and continuity.

Good collaboration with Planning is essential here. Within HTM, work has already begun to strengthen the bridge between Planning and IT. In this role, you help to further develop that connection. You are visible and approachable to the business, make clear agreements, and build trust between Planning and IT.

The focus of this position is initially on Hastus. Depending on the development of the team and your experience, your area of work may be expanded in the long term to include other applications within the Planning and IT domain, such as Maximo, EBS, ITCS, MobilePlan, and KAR.

You are an operationally minded professional who gains energy from ensuring the smooth functioning of applications that are important to daily operations. You enjoy truly getting to know an application and feel responsible for its proper setup, daily management, and continuity.

At the same time, you are someone who easily makes a connection with the business. You are a good listener, ask the right questions, and are able to connect technical and functional issues in an understandable way. You understand that good application management is not just about technology, but also about collaboration, clear agreements, and trust.
