As an (aspiring) DevOps Engineer within Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS), you will work in an enthusiastic and self-managing team. The DevOps team is responsible for the development and operation of various PaaS environments, with an emphasis on self-service and automation. The team consists of approximately 10 employees divided across various disciplines (Back-end, Front-end, DevOps) and different areas of knowledge (think of Linux, Windows, Splunk, Ruby, Docker, Xl-Deploy and Puppet).

You are responsible for the analysis, design, and realization of various microservices and components that make up the platform. The activities involve the development of new components, migrations of existing components, and the realization of integrations with related systems. You can pick up 'user stories' both independently and in a team setting and deliver software that is provided with automated testing and is easy to manage.

Currently, the platform runs in a Private Cloud environment, but due to the intended expansion of the PaaS platform to the Public Cloud, we are specifically looking for sound knowledge of the Public Cloud. This concerns the (automated) configuration of a multi-tenant environment in the Public Cloud (preference for Azure and AWS), but also defining and setting up the 'landing zone', such as network configuration, account setup, policies, billing, iam, etc.

• Setting up the automated basic configuration of one or more Public Cloud environments to replace our current Private Cloud
• Contributing to the expansion, adaptation, and improvement of the existing PaaS platforms
• Improving operational processes through further automation
• Proactively proposing system and process improvements
• Ensuring continuous improvement of quality during development and acting on improvement questions
• Unlocking Public Cloud in order to implement a Hybrid Cloud solution
• Making choices, implementing, and documenting regarding the configuration of the Public Cloud
• Drafting documentation and the transfer of software solutions

• Good communication skills in Dutch: you write clear pieces and can also convey your story convincingly orally
• You have a completed HBO or WO ICT degree
• Fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
• At least 2-5 years of work experience as a Platform engineer, in developing and maintaining an IaaS platform in the Public Cloud
• Demonstrable experience with the use of configuration management tooling for Public Cloud configuration
• Demonstrable experience with container solutions such as Docker (Swarm) and Kubernetes
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development processes and Continuous Integration & Delivery
• Knowledge of automated testing
