We offer you a challenging and independent full-time position in and around the beautiful city of The Hague. The position is rewarded in salary group 4 of the HTM collective labor agreement (CAO) with a corresponding salary between €3,154.- and €4,150.- gross per month (excluding irregular hours allowance) for a full-time employment contract.
You will get the opportunity to further develop yourself. When you can perform all activities independently and have fully mastered the position, you can grow into salary scale 5 with a maximum of €4,315.-
In addition, you can count on excellent employment conditions, including: 'Company Public Transport' (traveling in our transport area at a highly reduced rate, for yourself, your partner, and your children), an end-of-year bonus, buying, selling, or saving leave, and an extensive package of study facilities to keep you developing: at HTM, you're in good hands!
Do you know that sound? A tram going around a corner and making a deafening squealing noise. Naturally, we would rather not hear that sound at HTM! And that is where you come in. As a CNC turner, you ensure that our tram wheels are beautifully round and smooth again, so that our trams run smoothly and reliably through The Hague and the surrounding area.
Together with your colleagues, you ensure that our trams remain in top condition. The Vehicles department is responsible for the management and maintenance of over 400 vehicles, including trams, buses, and company cars. You focus on the trams and, with your craftsmanship, make an important contribution to safe, comfortable, and reliable public transport.
No two trams are the same! HTM has three different types of trams, each with its own specifications when it comes to turning the wheels. After a certain number of kilometers, the trams come to your workshop to bring the wheels back into optimal condition. Using the computer-controlled Mobiturn wheel lathe, you process the wheel profiles according to the prescribed specifications. This makes them beautifully round and smooth again so the tram can smoothly return to the tracks. But your work goes beyond just turning. You also perform maintenance on the machine, resolve minor malfunctions, and provide support where necessary with mechanical work and overhauls of our trams' bogies. A varied role in which technology, precision, and craftsmanship come together.
Safety is important to us. This means that you only begin your activities once you (together with your colleague) have observed all safety rules. You work both during the day and in the evening. Together with all your colleagues in the workshop, you contribute to the optimal availability and reliability of the vehicles.
An assessment may be part of the selection procedure. During the application process, we will ask you to provide your diploma so that we can verify it. It may also occur that we ask you to provide one or more references.
