The role

Do you want to work on the complex issues behind innovative energy contracts and new collaborations? Then we have a beautiful puzzle for you as a Settlement Analyst in Rotterdam. Read more:

We don't want to disappoint, but we only accept applications from candidates already (or about to be) based in the Netherlands.

This will give you positive energy

  • Establishing structure and insight in a complex environment that is constantly in motion.

  • Working on process and data issues that directly touch the core of Greenchoice and making our vision a reality.

  • Collaborating with driven colleagues who enjoy building, puzzling, and improving.

This is what you will do as a Settlement Analyst

The energy market remains in motion. New contract forms, innovative collaborations, and large producer contracts demand settlement solutions that do not yet exist. And that is where you come in. Together with the account manager, you translate commercial agreements into a concrete process. You determine which calculations are necessary, which data must be available for that, and how we can reliably and transparently determine what we settle with producers.

In doing so, you do not work within existing frameworks, but are given the space to design new ways of working yourself. Using SQL, Python, and data from various systems, you develop smart solutions for complex settlement issues. You work them out in detail, coordinate with colleagues and other stakeholders, and ensure that every calculation is conclusive, explainable, and traceable. In this way, you ensure that our green power is purchased and settled in the right way.

Your challenges

  • Unraveling complexity: You translate new commercial agreements into smart, workable settlement solutions.

  • Making choices together: You coordinate the best approach with account managers, Settlement & Operations, and Finance.

  • Making solutions work: Using data, analyses, SQL, and Python, you work out solutions and hand them over for reliable operational execution.

Making an impact together

You will become part of Settlement & Operations: an enthusiastic team of six colleagues working on stable, scalable, and reliable processes for our producers. The atmosphere is positive and involved: we puzzle, learn, and achieve results. You work closely with Renewable Origination and the financial chain, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Tax. This is how you tackle challenging issues and make an impact together.

This is what Zahraa from the Settlement & Operations team finds most enjoyable about her job: "What I like most about my work is the combination of challenging issues, a pleasant working atmosphere within the team, and the opportunity to continuously expand my knowledge. It is precisely through working together, learning from each other, and continuing to develop myself that I derive much pleasure and satisfaction from my work."

This will ignite your energy

  • A gross fixed annual income of € 53,000 to € 76,000 based on a 40-hour work week, consisting of 12 monthly salaries, 8% holiday allowance, and a choice budget of 1 monthly salary.

  • With your individual choice budget (8.33%), you decide what suits you. Have it paid out, buy extra leave days, or donate (a part) to a charity via our partnership with The Social Handshake.

  • A target bonus of 16.7% with a maximum of 22.9%.

  • 26 vacation days if you work full-time and 8 hours per year to dedicate to volunteer work of your choice.

  • Diversity and inclusivity are important to us, so feel free to exchange official cultural and religious holidays for days that better suit your background.

  • An NS-Business Card that you can also use for as much private travel as you want.

  • Plenty of opportunities to continue developing yourself, including through training via our Greenhouse Academy. We also have an attractive study cost scheme for development activities outside the company. Read more about development in the FAQ.

  • A comprehensive pension insurance via Zwitserleven, for which you as an employee only make a small contribution, and a disability insurance from Nationale Nederlanden.

  • Curious about what else we offer? View the other employment conditions.

What do you need to be able to work well? We are happy to think along with you. Our office is wheelchair accessible and we can adapt your workplace or facilitate specific software where necessary.

We can make good use of your energy

You are naturally curious and enjoy diving into complex issues for which the solution is not yet fixed. You get energy from puzzling, bring structure to ambiguity, and take ownership to turn new ideas into workable solutions. In doing so, you do not lose sight of the details, while always continuing to see the bigger picture.

In addition, you have:

  • You have a HBO or WO background and experience in an analysis, data, process, or consultancy role.

  • You are strong in SQL and data analysis; experience with Python is a nice addition.

  • You have experience in designing and improving complex processes and get energy from issues for which no standard solution yet exists.
