Every Feadship is custom built and cannot exist without your contribution. Therefore, there is always a piece of yourself in it. That gives a sense of responsibility. But also certainly a sense of pride. And that is perhaps the most important thing we can offer you.
The role
Every year, an average of two superyachts leave the dry docks of the Koninklijke De Vries Scheepsbouw shipyard. Luxury, custom-made yachts that distinguish themselves through the quality of construction, engineering, and finishing.
As a fitter, you will make an important contribution to it. From pump foundations and control cabinet frames to the ship floor constructions in the engine room: your work completes these impressive yachts of approx. 80 meters. As a Fitter, you are essential in realizing top quality, both in technique and in finish.
What you'll do
At Feadship, we work together on something special: superyachts that attract attention all over the world.
As a Fitter, you will assist in transporting, placing, and (partially) manufacturing constructions and frames on board: from pump foundations and drip trays to control cabinet frames and decks.
- You mount various components such as pumps, control cabinets, and hydro-units on board the yacht.
- You build ship floor constructions, including in the engine room and other technical spaces on board.
- You assist in the placement and alignment of engines and other installations. You choose the right materials, tools, and working methods yourself, but always with an eye for the high finishing standard that Feadship strives for.
How you'll work
- A 40-hour work week, with clear working hours and plenty of variety. Part-time employment is negotiable.
What you bring
The work is more than just functional - it is a matter of precision and aesthetics. The technical spaces of the yachts are finished just as beautifully as the exterior. You ensure that everything not only works well but also looks professional.
