C# .NET Developer (Embedded)

These sensors communicate with the cloud via embedded systems. The software you develop forms the crucial link between millions of cows in the field and our Azure environment and contributes directly to better animal welfare.

We are looking for a C#.NET Developer with experience in embedded systems who wants to work at the intersection of hardware, software, and cloud.

What you will do

As a C#.NET Developer, you will work in a multidisciplinary team on software that runs on embedded devices (primarily Linux-based) and continuously communicates with the cloud.

• Developing software for embedded systems that collect and transmit data
• Building robust .NET applications that run on Linux devices
• Ensuring reliable communication between devices and the cloud
• Working on the performance, stability, and scalability of systems
• Thinking along about architecture and technical choices
• Writing well-structured code including testing
• Collaborating with colleagues from cloud, data, and hardware teams

Where the technical challenge lies

Our devices are continuously connected to the internet and process large amounts of data in real time. This requires stable, efficient, and scalable software on devices with limited resources.

You will work on systems where reliability is crucial: when your software is running, farmers can immediately see how their cows are doing.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with C# and .NET (Core) 
• Experience with software development for embedded systems 
• Experience with Linux environments 
• Knowledge of design patterns and coding best practices 
• Experience with automated testing / unit testing 
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines is a plus 
• Good command of Dutch and English 
• Collaboration-oriented and strong communication skills 

Nice to have 
• Affinity with the agricultural sector

• Salary €4,000 – €6,300 + 8% holiday allowance 
• Bonus up to 10% of annual salary
