Sampler

For this position, we are looking for a practical colleague who likes to roll up their sleeves. You work accurately, have a professional appearance, are customer-oriented, and are physically fit. Additionally, you have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, and can manage in English.

Additionally, we would like to see the following on your CV:

• You have a VMBO diploma or a comparable level of practical and intellectual ability
• You have held a Category B driver's license for at least 1 year
• In possession of a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) or willing to apply for one

As a Sampler, you are the visiting card of SGS at our customers. You ensure that food, water, and air samples are taken in the correct manner and are safely delivered to our laboratory.

As a Sampler, you will get a varied job with a lot of responsibility and customer contact. You are on the road a lot and visit approximately 8 to 15 customers daily, spread across the entire Netherlands. You will visit, among others, factories and production companies where food is processed, nut processing companies, healthcare institutions, fish wholesalers, and slaughterhouses. In short, no two days are the same

Your duties include:

• Taking and collecting samples at customers and depots (8-15 addresses per day)
• Registering and packaging samples for safe transport and ensuring that you always have sufficient packaging material in stock in your van
• Physically heavier work. Extracting samples from big bags of peanuts using a gouge and taking meat samples with a sampling drill
