What we're looking for

 We are looking for a Quality Assurance Officer who meets the following criteria:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in (bio)chemistry, biotechnology, (bio)pharmacy, (molecular) biology, or a related field – OR – an MBO diploma with at least 3 years of work experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a quality-oriented environment (GMP / GLP / ISO).
  • Organized, structured, and accurate.
  • Strong quality awareness.
  • Proactive and customer-oriented team player.
  • Knowledge of GMP quality systems and regulations (Eudralex, ICH).
  • Residing in the Netherlands, at a reasonable distance from our location in Nijmegen.
  • Available for a contract of 32 hours per week.

Nice to have

  • Fluent in Dutch or English; knowledge of both languages is preferred.
  • Knowledge of (micro)biological QC testing is preferred.

The role

The QC laboratory of Eurofins Bactimm in Nijmegen is part of the internationally operating Eurofins Scientific and performs a very diverse range of microbiological analyses of raw materials and end products for a large number of national and international customers within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. The range of microbiological analyses includes, among others, performing bioburden testing, sterility testing, growth promotion testing, and identification of microorganisms. 

As a Quality Assurance Officer, you are responsible for ensuring quality within our laboratory and operational processes. You work according to GxP, ISO, and internal quality standards and play a key role in documentation management, audits, training, and compliance.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities include:

  • Managing and reviewing deviations, changes, complaints, OOS results, and CAPAs in accordance with GMP guidelines.
  • Maintaining and monitoring the systems for change control and deviations.
  • Performing routine QA tasks according to SOPs and quality standards.
  • Contributing to the safeguarding of the quality system based on regulatory requirements (and the implementation of changes in regulations).
  • Participating in or setting up QA initiatives and improvement projects.
  • Training personnel in the area of GMP and quality procedures.
  • Performing (internal) audits and self-inspections, and supporting external inspections (e.g., by regulatory authorities).
  • Drafting and revising QA procedures and work instructions.
  • Managing the GMP documentation system and archive, including electronic systems.
  • Supporting the drafting, reviewing, or updating of QA agreements.
  • Managing documentation and compliance regarding opiates and precursors.
  • Overseeing GxP compliance of personnel, (validation) studies, facilities, and equipment from a QA perspective.
  • Acting as a deputy for the QA manager.
