Assistant Project Controller

• A completed mbo education, preferably in an administrative direction, or you possess an mbo or hbo thinking level.

• Administrative knowledge, possibly supplemented with courses and/or training within the field of project control.

• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.

• Knowledge of project-based working and the application of project control within projects.

• Knowledge of audits within projects and the applicable compliance rules therein.

• Experience with AFAS and PowerBI is a plus.

• You support the setting up of projects and oversee the maintenance of sound project administration according to the project control cycle of planning, monitoring, and controlling (including preparing, checking, and processing outgoing invoices yourself, if necessary).

• You analyze and discuss the progress of the projects with the project leaders and the project administrators. You signal deviations in the projects so that adjustments can be made in a timely manner.

• You actively participate in the improvement processes taking place within the Project Control department and contribute to quality monitoring and the improvement of the project administration and the project management method of Berenschot.

• You actively participate in the project control meetings.

• You assist in preparing and guiding the audit by, among other things, testing and providing the project files.

• Together with colleagues, you check the quality of the administrative recording of a project.

• Together with colleagues, you check the contract agreements in quotes in the preliminary phase and/or the contract agreements in the signed agreement in the execution phase.

• You are the go-to person for direct colleagues on an operational level regarding the project administration.

As an assistant project controller, acting as the right hand to the senior project controller within the Finance department, you are co-responsible for the project portfolio of Berenschot NL and you oversee the financial control of projects according to the management aspects of 'scope', 'time', and 'money', including compliance with internal and external regulations.

The assistant project controller is part of the Finance department, consisting of ten enthusiastic colleagues holding various roles. The assistant project controller works within the Project Control team, consisting of a senior project controller and seven project coordinators.

The assistant project controller reports to the senior project controller. Additionally, the assistant project controller has close contact with the project leaders, project coordinators, and colleagues from the Finance department.
