Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a colleague who:

has a completed financial education, preferably Modern Business Administration or HBO Administration;
has at least 5 years of relevant work experience within accounting;
has excellent knowledge of Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
has experience with monthly, quarterly and annual closings;
works accurately and possesses strong numerical insight;
is independent, proactive and communicatively strong;
can collaborate well with various internal stakeholders;
has experience with Excel and financial systems. Can set priorities and maintain an overview in a dynamic work environment.

About the company & team

The Finance department for the Amsterdam office consists of 2 parts: The Billing team and the Financial Accounting team.

In this role, you will make an important contribution to accurate, complete and timely financial administration and you will support the further professionalization of the financial function.

You will be involved in the monthly, quarterly and annual closings and support the preparation of financial reports and analyses. Additionally, you will monitor the quality of financial data, identify discrepancies and actively contribute to process improvements.

The position requires excellent knowledge of accounting principles, including Dutch GAAP and IFRS. You will play an important role in ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and local laws and regulations. In doing so, you will support, among other things, reporting and obligations towards authorities such as the Tax Authorities, BFT, OVA and CBS.

Additionally, tasks related to client funds and payments are part of your responsibilities and you will contribute to the compliance with relevant laws and regulations and compliance requirements.

You report to the Financial Controller and work closely with colleagues within Finance, external accountants and various internal stakeholders. Thanks to your involvement in the local financial processes, you are an important sparring partner for the Amsterdam office and you contribute to a reliable and future-proof financial organization.
