What you'll get

The appointment is for a period of four years, with the possibility of an extension of four years. The remuneration of the Supervisory Board members is according to the VTW advisory regulations on remuneration.

The role

Mooiland's Supervisory Board (RvC) has asked Berenschot to guide the recruitment of a new Supervisory Board member. We are looking for a socially engaged supervisor with a strong background in social housing and, preferably, also an affinity for digitalization and AI. Someone who knows what is happening in the sector, has insight into recent trends and developments, and is a valuable interlocutor for both the executive board and the board.

The profile

For this profile, we are looking for a committed team player who:

  • has a broad social interest and knowledge of social housing, social innovation, and relevant trends and developments, and is preferably professionally active in the broad field of housing/social housing;

  • has relevant experience as a supervisor or in executive function(s);

  • identifies with Mooiland's vision on supervision, exercising supervision based on trust, openness, and a constructive dialogue, and acting as a role-conscious sparring partner and sounding board for the Supervisory Board when reflecting on supervision, assessment, strategic themes, and the further development of the organization;

  • preferably has affinity/experience with digitalization and AI and understands what this means for the social housing task and the service provided to residents;

  • has an academic level of work and thought and experience with executive decision-making.

Requirements

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You know how to strike a good balance between involvement and distance.

  • You are upright, open, can listen well, and are independent.

  • You think and work at a strategic level and can signal social trends that may have an impact on the mission, vision, and/or strategy of the organization and on the social housing task.

  • You possess a relevant network in the broad social domain, preferably in social housing.

  • You possess executive insight and can approach complex issues integrally and from different angles and interests.

  • You have a professional and executive style of operating and contribute, from your own background, expertise, and perspective, to the complementarity within the Supervisory Board.

  • You possess good communicative and relational skills. You are social, approachable, reflective, and can give and receive feedback.

  • You possess sufficient time for the duties of a board member and are prepared to give full substance to the position. The Supervisory Board meets six times a year; additionally, there are various theme meetings and meetings with stakeholders where members of the Supervisory Board are expected to be present.

After an initial selection, interested candidates will be invited for an orientation interview at Berenschot in week 47 and 48. Based on this, Berenschot will come to a nomination of candidates for the Supervisory Board of Mooiland in week 59. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview with the recruitment and selection committee of the Supervisory Board on December 10, 2026. The final preferred candidate must then undergo the procedure for a view of suitability and reliability with the Housing Association Authority. The intended start for the new board member is February 25, 2027.
