We are looking for a talented Microsoft Data Engineer who will play an important role in the growth of BearingPoint's Enterprise Microsoft Transformation (EMT) business in the Netherlands. In this role, you will help clients design, build, and optimize the data products, data pipelines, and data foundations required for modern analytics and AI solutions.

Data Engineering forms the foundation of every successful analytics and AI initiative. Organizations increasingly need high-quality, reliable, and accessible data to support decision-making, automation, and AI adoption.

As a Microsoft Data Engineer, you will focus on designing and building modern data solutions using Microsoft cloud technologies. You will develop scalable data pipelines, optimize data processing, and implement modern engineering practices that enable organizations to truly work in a data-driven manner.

By working closely with clients and project teams, you will combine hands-on engineering with consultancy to realize solutions that create measurable business value.

• Designing, building, and optimizing modern data solutions on Microsoft Azure

• Developing scalable ETL and ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and Spark-based technologies

• Translating complex business requirements into reliable and maintainable data solutions

• Supporting the end-to-end realization of analytics and AI initiatives

• Integrating data from multiple internal and external sources

• Building and optimizing processes for data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration

• Improving the performance, scalability, and maintainability of data workloads

• Ensuring high standards of data quality and reliability

• Implementing dimensional models, Data Vault methodologies, and modern analytical data models

• Supporting the development of AI-ready datasets and reporting structures

• Contributing to scalable data architectures that enable analytics, BI, and AI solutions

• Applying best practices in data governance and architecture

• Working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Databricks, and Synapse Analytics

• Supporting clients in the adoption of modern Microsoft data platforms

• Helping organizations modernize legacy environments and their transition to the cloud

• Acting as a trusted advisor for technical and business stakeholders

• Facilitating workshops and requirements sessions

• Translating technical concepts into concrete business value

• Supporting architecture discussions and data transformation programs

• Contributing to internal accelerators, best practices, and engineering standards

• Coaching junior colleagues and sharing expertise within teams
