Data Architect Microsoft Fabric

You have several years of experience in Data & Analytics, including a demonstrable role in architecture. You have designed and implemented data platforms, and you feel at home in conversations with both engineers and management-level stakeholders. At Macaw, you will apply that experience to challenging Fabric projects.

• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouse and Warehouse, OneLake, pipelines, and notebooks.
• Route 1: several years of experience in Data & Analytics, including a demonstrable role in architecture.
• Route 2: extensive experience as a (senior) data engineer with Fabric and the ambition to grow into an architect in the short term.
• Knowledge of data modeling (dimensional, Kimball), CI/CD, and data governance.
• You are a Dutch speaker (fluent Dutch is a requirement) and also communicate well in English.
• You ask the right questions, understand what is truly happening at the client, and advise with conviction.
• You are enthusiastic about the latest Microsoft developments, such as Fabric, Copilot, and AI.

• A good salary of € 6,000 – € 7,500 gross per month, an attractive mobility scheme, a business phone, and a developer laptop.

• You design reliable, user-friendly, and easy-to-manage data platforms in the Microsoft ecosystem, with Microsoft Fabric as the foundation.
• You estimate the required effort and determine which skills the team needs.
• You guide and direct engineers in realizing your architecture and lead Macaw's development team at the client site.
• You build efficient data solutions and set up a robust CI/CD deployment framework in Azure DevOps.
• You implement best practices in the field of data governance.
• You develop high-performing data models, dimensionally modeled according to Kimball.
• You advise and challenge high-level stakeholders at the client. You ask the right questions and bring hidden pain points to the surface.
• You recognize patterns across different clients and apply that knowledge to new assignments.
• You closely follow the latest developments from Microsoft, such as Fabric, Copilot, and AI, and share your enthusiasm with colleagues and clients.
