What we're looking for

Experience You have 6-10 years of experience in data architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture roles, preferably in a consultancy environment.

Architecture expertise You have proven experience with architecture documentation, solution blueprints, roadmap development, and designing enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and cloud-native solutions (Azure, AWS).

Data modeling knowledge You possess in-depth knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical), dimensional modeling, and data vault methodologies.

Governance and modern architecture patterns You have an understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality management, master data management strategies, and modern data architecture patterns, including data mesh, data fabric, lakehouse architectures, and real-time streaming architectures.

Compliance and security You are knowledgeable about privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), data security, data lineage, and compliance frameworks.

Communication skills You possess strong communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English.

Education & certifications

Education and certifications You have a relevant and completed Master of Science degree, supplemented by professional certifications in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and data management (e.g., CDMP, DAMA-DMBOK).

The role

Become part of the Data & Analytics team at BearingPoint Netherlands, which focuses on Data Strategy & Management, Data Engineering, and Advanced Analytics. We deliver end-to-end solutions that help clients transform data into actionable insights.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Architect, you will lead the design of scalable, future-proof data architectures. You will advise clients on building data ecosystems that align with business objectives, support growth, and comply with regulatory standards.

Architecture Leadership You lead the design of data architectures and guide implementation as part of multidisciplinary teams. You design comprehensive data architectures, establish architecture standards, and ensure scalable solutions that meet both current and future business needs in complex environments.

Innovation and thought leadership You stay ahead of the curve with emerging trends such as data mesh, data fabric, and real-time streaming. You act as a thought leader within and outside BearingPoint and shape best practices and architectural direction.

Team leadership and mentorship You lead teams in implementing your designs. You are a role model for architectural excellence, actively facilitate the transfer of architectural principles, lead architecture review boards, and develop innovative architectural solutions for complex data challenges.

Business development and strategic advisory You support business development through architectural expertise: you shape data transformation roadmaps, evaluate technology stacks, and design solution architectures that differentiate our proposals. Your architectural vision and strategic thinking enable our team to create compelling and technically sound client proposals.
