What we're looking for

Education You have a relevant and completed master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Experience You have 6-8 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, preferably in a consultancy environment.

Methodologies and processes You have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD principles, and solution lifecycle management.

Project management and work attitude You have proven project management skills and a proactive, independent work attitude in which you take responsibility.

Communication skills You possess good communication and presentation skills in both Dutch and English.

Nice to have

Technical expertise You possess strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and GIT. Experience with reporting tools and full-stack development is a plus.

Certifications Certifications in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS) or data platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake are a plus and strengthen your profile.

Be part of the Data & Analytics team at BearingPoint Netherlands, specializing in Data Strategy, Data Engineering, and Advanced Analytics. We help clients convert data into business value through end-to-end solutions.

What you'll do

As a Senior Consultant Data Engineering, you guide clients in building reliable, scalable data pipelines and production-ready environments. You combine technical expertise with strategic advice to help organizations deploy data effectively and efficiently.

Furthermore, the role includes:

Project leadership You lead data engineering projects and manage multidisciplinary consultancy projects, managing client expectations and delivering high-quality solutions in complex environments.

Thought leadership You continuously develop your expertise in a rapidly changing technology and business landscape and contribute to internal and external thought leadership.

Team management and coaching You support the development of team members, facilitate knowledge sharing, and act as a role model in proposition development and creative problem-solving.

Technical implementation You apply hands-on experience in Python, SQL, GIT and/or reporting tools (such as Power BI, Tableau), with knowledge of both front-end and back-end development.

Client advisory and business development As an expert, you support our efforts to help clients with solutions that best fit their specific situations and needs. Your guidance shapes the projects of the future and enables our team to create winning proposals.
