Strategic Project Buyer in the Netherlands

With your strategic procurement knowledge, you ensure that complex infrastructural projects have the right market parties and contracts. Together with your colleagues, you work on smart procurement strategies and successful tenders. In this way, you help with the expansion and renewal of the electricity grid and keep the Netherlands moving.

Location

• Specifying the procurement needs together with project teams, strategically aligning work packages, and guiding the supplier selection and award process, from preparation to contracting.
• Advising project teams and internal stakeholders on complex procurement issues, market approaches, risks, and opportunities. You know how to bring different interests together and translate them into suitable solutions.
• Drafting procurement plans and aligning these with Contract Management, the project team, and Category Management. You translate the chosen strategy into a concrete and executable tender.
• Building and executing tenders in the applicable tendering tool, working within the policy frameworks, laws and regulations, standards, and best practices of TenneT.
• Fulfilling a substantive advisory role in the field of strategic project procurement. You monitor the application of the correct procurement knowledge and frameworks within your projects.
• Guiding and supporting colleagues and multidisciplinary teams. You actively share your knowledge and expertise and contribute to predictable project results and professional collaboration with suppliers.
• Analyzing market, supplier, and process information. You identify opportunities and possibilities for improvement and contribute to more efficient, cost-effective, and future-proof procurement processes.

You combine strategic insight with decisiveness and have a sharp eye for different interests. You oversee complex issues, make well-founded choices, and know how to involve stakeholders in this. In doing so, you do not lose sight of collaboration. You work carefully, analytically, and result-oriented, and you know when you can act independently and when coordination or escalation is required.

The location for this position is Weert. Do you live in the Gelderland area? Even then, we cordially invite you to apply! This is because you do not need to be present at the regional office in Weert regularly. You can also perform your duties from our head office in Arnhem or from home. We are happy to look together for a suitable and flexible work location.

As a Strategic Project Buyer, you ensure that complex infrastructural projects have the right market parties and contracts. You translate the procurement needs of projects into a well-thought-out procurement and tendering strategy. In this way, you contribute to successful project realization and ensure the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy.

Within the Greenfield South region, you will be part of team Prepare, consisting of 15 colleagues. You work closely with project teams, Contract Management, Category Management, Legal, and external market parties. Together, you ensure that the right choices are made and projects are optimally prepared.

Therefore, for full-time employment, we offer you:

• A permanent contract with a two-month probationary period, based on 40 hours per week.
• A salary in scale 9: €4,816 to €9,472 per month with 8% holiday allowance and 6% end-of-year bonus.
• A solid pension via ABP: we pay 70% of your premium.
• 43 vacation days per year.
