QHSE Advisor

At Dura Vermeer Techniek, approximately 70 colleagues work on projects where many installations, many parties, and little space converge. As a senior QHSE advisor, you are close to that work and work with short lines to the management. You are not a controller after the fact, but the substantive sparring partner for management, project leaders, and operations. You develop and monitor the QHSE policy, build a proactive safety culture, and together with your colleagues, constantly look for ways to make the work safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing the QHSE policy and translating it into workable agreements for projects;

• Stimulating safe behavior, so that people dare to call each other out;

• Coaching and training managers, supervisors, and technicians in the field of QHSE;

• Performing internal audits, project inspections, and trend analyses, and guiding external audits and improvement processes;

• Investigating incidents and analyzing safety reports, and ensuring that improvement measures truly stick;

• Providing clear QHSE management information to the management and keeping the management system sharp;

• Providing QHSE input during tenders.

You will work from our new office in Utrecht, at project locations, and partly from home. Dura Vermeer Techniek carries out installation technology projects for the construction and infra sectors. You will join a team of experienced technicians with a great interest in new technology and innovative solutions, who are also involved as early as the planning stage of projects.

As a QHSE advisor, safety is naturally a top priority for you. You communicate easily, both on the construction site and at the management table, and you know how to bring colleagues along in the importance of QHSE. You are analytical, quickly see where improvement is needed, and take the initiative to implement it. In addition, we ask for:

• A completed HBO degree in Safety Science or Integral Safety Science, preferably with HVK or KVK registration;

• At least 5 years of experience as a QHSE advisor in construction or installation technology;

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001, VCA, and the Safety Ladder. Knowledge of the CO₂ Performance Ladder is a plus;

• Demonstrable experience with audits, incident investigation, and coaching managers;

• A hands-on mentality: you walk the projects yourself and set the bar high for the quality of your work;

• The drive to take the safety culture within our organization to a higher level.

• A good salary between €5,005 and €6,256 gross per month, depending on your education and experience. We pay out per 4-week period (13 periods per year) instead of per calendar month. The amount is based on a 40-hour work week and excludes 8% holiday allowance;

• 38 leave days in accordance with the CAO Metaal en Techniek;

• Excellent secondary employment conditions, such as insurance for all employee risks, pension schemes, an extra supplement in case of disability, and a contribution towards union membership;
