Do you enjoy finding creative solutions to questions such as: 'How do we ensure sufficient daylight?' 'Does this thermal bridge pose a risk?' and 'How do we make this building energy neutral?' Then we would love to meet you!
You will work in a dynamic environment and be part of a team of driven advisors. You will focus on assessing and advising on building designs regarding daylight entry, ventilation, thermal insulation, and energy performance. This applies to both new construction projects and renovations and transformations. You will come up with practical, building physics solutions that align with the daily reality of our clients, from the schematic design to the final delivery.
You will work on multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate with project leaders and fellow advisors to make every project a success.
At Aveco de Bondt, we want every building and its environment to contribute optimally to the health, comfort, and safety of users. Sustainability is central to this. You will advise our clients in a pragmatic manner during the (re)development of homes, schools, offices, and other buildings.
You can find the projects we are currently working on at: Bouwfysica, akoestiek en brandveiligheid | Aveco de Bondt and Van scheepswerf naar woonwijk in Amsterdam | Aveco de Bondt
Furthermore, you possess the following competencies:
Problem-solving ability: You can (quickly) analyze complex building physics issues such as thermal bridges, moisture problems, and acoustic challenges and offer practical, executable solutions that meet the technical requirements and wishes of the client.
Analytical ability: You are able to perform building physics calculations (e.g., thermal resistance, daylight entry, ventilation capacity) and translate these into understandable advice. You can analyze data and establish connections between technical construction requirements and building performance, such as energy efficiency and thermal comfort.
Communication skills: You can convey technical information in a clear manner to both technically and non-technically trained stakeholders, such as architects, contractors, and clients. You are able to present building physics advice understandably in reports and during meetings.
Collaboration skills: You work effectively with architects, installers, and structural engineers to find integrated solutions that optimize building physics aspects such as insulation, ventilation, and energy performance. You can switch smoothly between different disciplines and stakeholders within projects.
Creative thinking: You devise innovative solutions to make buildings more sustainable and optimize them for health, comfort, and energy efficiency, while taking technical constraints and client wishes into account. Think, for example, of the smart integration of sun shading, natural ventilation, and energy-efficient facade systems.
Initiative and eagerness to learn: You are proactive in identifying building physics areas for improvement within projects and are willing to learn new knowledge and techniques, such as the application of BREEAM and WELL certification or dealing with changing regulations regarding energy performance and sustainable construction.
Plenty of room for your own initiative, creativity and professional development;
A versatile role in which you can truly make an impact within a people-focused organization;
Flexibility to work independently of time and place, with support for a well-equipped home office;
A close-knit team with short lines of communication and an informal working atmosphere within a multidisciplinary engineering firm.
