What we're looking for

  • HBO level of working and thinking, preferably in the direction of IT or Computer Science.

  • Extensive experience with setting up, managing, and further developing development environments and development tooling.

  • Good knowledge of Azure and Azure DevOps, including setting up and managing Continuous Delivery pipelines.

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation, preferably with Terraform and Ansible.

  • Experience with development, test, security, and quality tooling, such as Git, GitHub, Postman, Webdriver IO, SonarQube, and Mend.

  • Experience with scripting and automation, for example with PowerShell and Python.

  • Experience with applying DevOps best practices and a strong preference for standardization and automation.

  • Affinity with the needs of developers and the ability to translate these into technical solutions.

  • Experience within financial services, insurance, or a similar regulated sector is a plus.

  • Good command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

  • Residing in the Netherlands.

  • Proactive and take ownership of solutions and improvements.

  • Possess strong analytical skills and are able to translate complex technical issues into practical solutions.

  • Communicatively skilled and able to collaborate effectively with developers, administrators, and other stakeholders.

Salary per month:

What you'll do

Team Agile Platform is part of Technology & Operations and provides platforms and tooling that support the development and operations organization. The team focuses on standardization, automation, and the optimal utilization of standard product suites. Development and operations are brought together within the team, with end-to-end responsibility for the solutions and services delivered. In doing so, quality, security, stability, manageability, and scalability are central.

As a DevOps Engineer Tooling, you are responsible for the setup, development, management, and further optimization of the development workspace within Athora. You ensure that developers have access to a secure, standardized, and automated environment for developing, testing, and deploying software. Additionally, you focus on Continuous Delivery, Infrastructure as Code, deployment automation, source control, and quality, security, and test tooling. You actively follow new developments and translate these into applicable solutions for Athora.

Your activities include, among others:

  • Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and managing tooling for the development workspace.

  • Setting up and managing Continuous Delivery pipelines within Azure DevOps, including quality gates that block insufficient code.

  • Automating infrastructure and deployments using, among others, Terraform and Ansible.

  • Managing and integrating development tooling, including Git, GitHub, Postman, Webdriver IO, SonarQube, and Mend.

  • Supporting automation and scripting using, among others, PowerShell and Python.

  • Supporting developers and administrators in effectively using the available tooling and sharing knowledge.

  • Inventorying user needs and translating these into technical solutions and improvements.

  • Following developments in the fields of Azure, Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and development, quality, security, and test tooling, and assessing their applicability within Athora.

  • Contributing to the availability, continuity, security, manageability, and scalability of the services.
