(Senior) Product Manager

- HBO+/WO (Higher Professional/Academic) working and thinking level;
- at least 7 years of relevant work experience in the Dutch pension sector;
- extensive experience with product management and stakeholder management;
- excellent analytical skills;
- excellent writing skills for policy and decision-making notes;
- excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;
- knowledge of pension products;
- knowledge of Agile/SAFe;
- Wft Basis and Wft Pension or willingness to obtain these within one year;
- knowledge of life insurance products, data analysis, SFDR, or sustainability is a plus.

Salary per month:
Based on collective labor agreement (CAO) scale 16 HAY, the range is € 5,082.02 to € 6,776.03 based on 36 hours (depending on knowledge and experience, scale 17 HAY is negotiable).

As a Product Manager, you will be part of the Products department. The Products team consists of 15-20 implementation and product managers. This team ensures that our products meet the needs of our customers and the latest insights from legislation and market developments. In this role, you bring together customer interest, commercial opportunities, and legislation into future-proof products.

Within this team, you are responsible for managing, developing, and improving pension and life insurance products. Based on your knowledge, expertise, and experience, you take the lead in analyzing new legislation and market developments. Your initiatives and analyses ensure that our pension and life insurance products align with the needs of current and new customers (such as participants, employers, and advisors). You oversee the entire product chain: from customer needs and market developments to implementation, management, and evaluation. As the subject matter owner of your product domain, you actively contribute to the further development of Athora's products.

You work intensively with colleagues both within and outside the Products team and report to the Manager Products.

You:
- oversee the entire product chain from customer needs and the competitive landscape to implementation and management;
- develop product visions, product improvements, and new propositions;
- analyze market developments, regulations, customer needs, competition, and commercial opportunities;
- independently translate these insights into product proposals that contribute to Athora's strategic objectives;
- monitor that products comply with PARP guidelines, legislation, and internal policy frameworks;
- lead multidisciplinary assessments of product changes;
- actively maintain relationships with Sales, Marketing, IT, Change, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Tax, and management;
- identify issues in the product and service delivery chain and propose structural solutions;
- independently write decision-making notes for management and in accordance with PARP guidelines;
- explicitly state which customer, commercial, financial, operational, and compliance considerations are part of a proposal;
- actively contribute to Athora's product strategy.
