Role description:
As a building physics advisor within the Sustainable Building Services & Physics (SBS&P) advisory group, you will work on complex advice using building physics calculations and the corresponding reports. The field of Building Physics consists of, among other things, advising based on calculations of daylight entry and solar exposure, thermal and hygric properties, energy efficiency, but also acoustics, sound insulation, environmental noise, fire safety, safe evacuation, and sustainability.

Characteristic of our Building Physics group is the varied work where a total package of knowledge is brought into projects together with other specialists. Every project is different and therefore every project requires a different combination of Building Physics knowledge. Our activities mostly encompass the entire construction process, from surveys, design of new builds and/or renovation, and control during execution to providing a contribution upon completion.

In our projects, we fulfill our global mission of '"Improving quality of life" by focusing on sustainability and digital developments. The field of building physics makes an important contribution to this.

In our national and international projects, other Arcadis colleagues are often involved, such as installation technology advisors, engineers, structural designers, architects and/or process engineers. You will be part of this multidisciplinary team. Within the project, you will coordinate the results of (your) calculations with other involved disciplines, both within Arcadis and with other design parties and clients. As a building physics advisor, you will work together with experienced specialists and work on multidisciplinary tasks and design processes.

You will be given the space to follow your personal interests and thus contribute to the building physics design of complex, unique buildings. Supported by courses, you will be able to maintain and expand your own expertise within the broad field of building physics. You will work in an enthusiastic, close-knit group of colleagues within the SBS&P advisory group, represented in the Rotterdam, 's-Hertogenbosch, and Maastricht offices. Your direct colleagues are mainly located in the 's-Hertogenbosch and Rotterdam offices.
