Innovation Manager

• At least 7 years of relevant work experience within innovation, change management, consultancy, legal tech, or digital transformation;
• Experience with setting up or leading an innovation hub, innovation program, or project-driven change organization;
• Demonstrable experience with change processes and adoption programs;
• Affinity with AI, legal tech, and process optimization;
• Experience within a partnership environment or professional services is a strong plus;
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills;
• An entrepreneurial, result-oriented, and proactive attitude;
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• The ability to use data and KPIs to make impact visible and to support decision-making.

In this role, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Developing and executing the innovation agenda for the Amsterdam office;
• Translating international innovation initiatives into local applications;
• Identifying, prioritizing, and guiding innovative use cases within practice groups and business teams;
• Stimulating the adoption of AI and legal tech solutions;
• Advising partners and teams on more efficient work processes and new ways of working;
• Leading innovation projects from initiative to implementation;
• Setting up an AI Champion Network within the firm;
• Developing and providing training, workshops, and bootcamps regarding AI and innovation;
• Monitoring adoption, impact, and return of innovation initiatives using KPIs.

Innovation plays an important role within the strategy of A&O Shearman. To further accelerate and embed innovation within our organization, we are looking for an Innovation Manager.

In this new role, you will help build a project-driven innovation hub focused on making our services smarter, more efficient, and future-proof. You will be responsible for identifying, testing, and scaling innovative solutions, with a strong focus on AI, legal tech, and process optimization.

You will work closely with partners, practice groups, business teams, and international colleagues to translate innovative ideas into concrete results. In doing so, you will not only ensure the introduction of new technology, but especially adoption, impact, and sustainable change within the organization.
