Learning & Development assistant

Are you an organizational talent with an affinity for learning and development? As a Learning & Development Assistant (32 hours per week), you will play an important role in the training and development of our lawyers, (candidate) civil-law notaries, and tax specialists. 

You support the L&D coordinator in the administration and coordination of courses and  training  and play an important role in the training programs of our trainee lawyers and candidate civil-law notaries. You support the Traineeship Manager, administer and monitor training data, coordinate  administrative processes, and ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.  

In this varied role, you will make a visible daily contribution to the development of legal talent within A&O Shearman. 

• organizing and coordinating courses, training, workshops, and onboarding activities; 

• supporting the legal traineeship, the Professional Training for Lawyers (Beroepsopleiding Advocatuur), the Law Firm School, and other traineeship activities; 

• managing training administration, training data, certificates, and progress records; 

• maintaining contact with participants, training institutes, and other internal and external stakeholders; 

• answering questions about courses, development activities, and internship requirements; 

• contributing to the further optimization of processes and working methods within Learning & Development and Traineeship Management. 

You are proactive, accurate, and organized. You get energy from planning, organizing, and supporting, and you feel comfortable in a role where you collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders. 

• mbo+ or hbo level of work and thought and relevant work experience in an administrative, coordinating, or supporting role; 

• strong organizational skills and the ability to set priorities; 

• affinity with learning, development, and talent development; 

• a proactive, service-oriented, and independent working attitude; 

• good communication skills in Dutch and English and experience with Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
