What we're looking for

A completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree in the direction of Environment, Urban Planning, Law, Civil Engineering, or similar;
At least 5 years of relevant experience with applying for and guiding environmental permits and complex permitting processes;
In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Environment Act;
Strong communication skills and an excellent network within the sector;
The ability to quickly grasp complex legal, technical, and environmental issues and translate them into practical advice;
Organizational talent: you like to get things done, work orderly, and do not like half-finished work.

The role

Do you enjoy making an impact with complex permit issues that contribute to the energy transition and a sustainable future? As an environmental permits advisor at Antea Group, you help organizations realize their plans in a world full of change.

What you'll do

As an advisor / project leader environmental permits, you guide and advise clients through complex permitting processes. You work for energy companies, industrial organizations, pipeline operators, developers, and regional companies. Think of the realization of electrolyzers, the expansion of (rail) locations, and the sustainability of industrial processes. Issues in which themes such as nitrogen, safety, and the environment converge. You map out legal and procedural risks, develop an appropriate permit strategy, and advise on the approach. When plans become concrete, you coordinate the necessary environmental studies and procedures. You coordinate with the competent authority, advisors, and other stakeholders, and ensure that permit applications are prepared carefully and within deadlines.

Even when procedures are complex or deadlines are under pressure, you maintain the overview. You switch gears quickly, solve bottlenecks, and ensure that projects can move forward. In this way, you relieve your clients of their worries and build sustainable relationships in which you are the first point of contact for new permit issues.
